Planning your itinerary in April? What about a truly inspiring journey where you can self-strengthen by learning the latest advances in thoracic cancer management? Here we introduce you to the Asia Thoracic Cancer Care Summit (ATCCS) Hong Kong 2018 (https://www.surgery.cuhk.edu.hk/ATCCS2018/). Organized by the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the summit will be held at Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers and CUHK Jockey Club Minimally Invasive Surgical Skills Centre from April 13-14, 2018 (Figure 1a and b).

Through lectures, discussions and workshops, the conference will highlight latest research and trends with a glimpse of future techniques and technologies in managing thoracic cancer. It will cover advances in diagnostics featuring real-time diagnostic technology in pulmonary nodule management, latest developments in liquid biopsy and hybrid approaches to diagnose lung lesions; as well as innovations in surgeries such as single port video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), VATS segmentectomy, image-guided VATS and so forth. Noteworthily, an electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy (ENB) workshop and a VATS animal wetlab session will be held for you to experience the use of latest surgical instruments, smart electric endo-staplers and 3D & ICG cameras to level up your skills.

Outside the conference hall you will find our booth “AME Publishing Company”, not to mention our energetic editorial team who will exhibit and promote our books and journals with a highlight of the focused issue “Asia Thoracic Cancer Care Summit 2018” to be published in Journal of Thoracic Disease, a special issue dedicated to this summit guest-edited by Prof. Calvin Ng, the programme director of this event.

Meanwhile, there will be an autograph session for the art album “My second career: A collection of artwork” authored by Prof. Anthony Yim, former Chairman of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Board of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and former Chairman of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Specialty Group in the Hospital Authority (Figure 2).
